
SPECIALTY CERTIFICATION-
The Specialties and Continuing Educational Courses are some of the finest in the
industry. Michael O'Leary, President of the National Association of
Cave Divers (NACD) is a highly qualified and experienced instructor.
Michael offers specialty classes that can train the student at any level of
diving. Some of theses courses include, but are not
limited to open water:
Cavern Diver- click Cavern
Night Diver- prepares the diver to dive safely at night. One learns how to plan and prepare for a night dive, the necessary techniques and how to solve potential problems that may arise.
Wreck Diver- prepares the diver to develop necessary skills and knowledge for safe wreck diving. One learns how to plan and prepare for a wreck dive, the necessary techniques and how to solve potential problems that may arise. This course is taught on a no-decompression basis and depths not exceeding 100ft.
Rescue Diver - This vital course will teach one to recognize, prevent and solve diving problems and emergencies. This course is an important step in an individuals continuing development as a scuba diver. As a rescue diver, one will be a safer and more confident diver and have the ability to assist divers in need. This course covers rescue techniques above and below water, from both shore and boat, diving first aid, accident management, evacuations, tows and carries.
Dan O2 - This course provides a responsible approach for training of oxygen administration and first aid in emergency situations. Fee: $50.00 per student.
Deep Diver - This course provides the diver with the necessary skills and knowledge for deeper diving. Deep diving is defined as dives made between 60 and 100feet. All dives are to be conducted under no-decompression rules, with no dives deeper than 100feet. Information on planning, organization, procedures, problems, special equipment, buoyancy control, descending lines, emergency procedures, altitude, flying after diving, and chamber information will be included.
- Specialty Courses and Deep Diver Fees $150 & up per student- due to the unique nature of some specialties. Please inquire. Certification IANTD, SSI/TDI .
MASTER SCUBA DIVER COURSE
After completing training through the Rescue level, & 5 Specialty Courses, a diver is then qualified for the Master Scuba Diver Certification. It is ideal for the individual who wishes to increase their diving knowledge.
DIVEMASTER COURSE
Divemaster is the first leadership program. The Divemaster candidate must be an
individual who has progressed through Advanced Open Water Diver, the Rescue programs, and
is current in CPR and First aid. The candidate must also have a minimum of 55 logged
dives. Divemaster programs can be taught in a structured course format, or in a flexible
program to fit the scheduling demands of this intensive program. A Divemaster
candidate will be assessed on swimming, snorkeling, diving and rescue skills, as well as
their ability to solve problems underwater. They will also be required to assist an
instructor during two classes and obtain their Dan Oxygen Provider certificate. A
Divemaster candidate will also have to master, and be tested at an Instructor level of
knowledge in diving physics, physiology, equipment, environment, and several other aspects
of diving as a professional.
Prerequisite: Rescue Diver Certification
Fee:$395 per student.
Registration: To register for this course, a deposit of $50.00 is required. Early registration is important because classes are limited in size and generally run full! YOUR LIFE IS WORTH IT!
