This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving.  Although it is designed as a stand alone course, it is recommended that it be taught in conjunction with Advanced Nitrox Course.  For prices see below.

 The objective of this course is to instruct divers in the procedures necessary to safely plan and execute staged decompression dives to depths not exceeding 150fsw/45msw.  Standard equipment requirements, gear configurations, decompression techniques and decompression mixtures are presented.

This course involves the use of EANx mixtures in excess of EAN40, and each diver must provide suitable oxygen compatible and clean equipment which will be used for those mixtures.  An oxygen analyzer is provided by the instructor.  However, it is recommended the student have one available as well.  Each student must provide at a minimum, a single nitrox gas computer, backup depth gauge and bottom timer, backup tables, tanks and regulators cleaned and labeled as required for the EANX mixtures (commonly EAN50 and EAN80+).

• The Decompression Procedures Course requires two days, four dives within planned staged decompression limits.  Curriculum consists of class sessions, dive planning using appropriate gas mixtures for the dives planned and dive execution.

Prerequisites: Certification Nitrox Course with 25 logged dives.

The above course fees do not include certification card, admission fees (where applicable), books or gases. Rental equipment is available if necessary. However, it is recommended that you own all your own gear, like regulators, backplate, harness, wings (or tech BCD), but tanks can be rented.  Other required gear is a reel with at least 200 feet of line, possibly a 50+ lb. lift bag, and a 7 foot hose on one of your regulators.

The Advanced Nitrox and Decompression course combined will give 3 day of diving with  a total of 6 dives.
