Nitrox is the Future of Diving...want to increase your bottom time, add a tremendous margin of safety to your dive profiles and have more physical energy, stamina and mental clarity on your dives? Nitrox may be the answer for you.

We breath Nitrox every day. Nitrox is any combination of nitrogen-oxygen. The very air we breath is made up of 79% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. Nitrox is simply a breathing gas that has a lower nitrogen content and a higher oxygen content (within safe parameters) than air. Decompression obligation is dependent on the quantity of nitrogen absorbed by the body during a dive, limiting the diver's bottom time. Your will feel refreshed and totally alert during your dives and will be able to safely increase your bottom times and safely shorten your surface intervals between dives.

"Nitrox Makes Me Feel Sooo Good!"

Nitrox Course

The Nitrox Course is an entry level certification for divers wishing to utilize enriched air nitrox (EANx) and provides recreational divers a safer breathing medium for enjoying dives in the 40ft (12 meters) to 130ft (39meters) depth range.  The objective of this course is to train divers in the nitrox mixtures from EAN22 to EAN40.  The diver may elect to dive on Nitrox tables, or conservatively use their dive computers, or air tables for an added safety margin.  IANTD Nitrox

This is a one day course.  If certification is obtained through TDI, no dives are required.  If Certification is taught through IANTD, two dives will be required.  Curriculum consists of class sessions, labeling procedures for EANx tanks and an understanding the process of properly analyzing gas mixtures.  The Nixtrox course can be  adaptable to being taught as a single program or to be combined with a variety of Advance or Specialty Diver Courses. Fee: $100.00 per student.

Advanced Nitrox

This course examines the use of EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for optimal mixtures to depths not to exceed 130fsw/40msw.  The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for dives not requiring staged decompression.

This course requires 2 days,  four dives with no-decompression limits.  Curriculum consists of class sessions, demonstration of gas mixing procedures, dive planning using appropriate gas mixtures for the depth planned and dive execution.

Prerequisites:  Minimum age 15; Nitrox Certified and 25 logged dives.

The Advanced Nitrox  course may be combined with the Nitrox course or any level of overhead training. Certifications Available TDI or IANTD Prices: Private - $325.00; two students $250.00; 3 or more $200.00 per student.

Decompression Procedures

This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving.  The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 150fsw/50msw.  Standard equipment requirements, gear configuration, decompression techniques and decompression mixtures are presented. 2 Days-4Dives (6 total if combined with Advanced Nitrox)

Prerequisites: Nitrox; 25 logged dives;Certification: TDI Price:Private$325.00; two student $250.00 per student; 3 or more $200.00 per student.

Combo Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures

The Advanced Nitrox and Decompression course combined will give you a total of 6 dives.

Dan O2 Course

The Dan O2 Course represent entry-level training designed to educate divers recognize diving injuries and provide emergency oxygen first aid.

The objective of this course is to educate divers about diving injuries and to train them in use of Oxygen while providing other assistance.  In addition, this course will introduce novice divers to the fundamentals of dive accident recognition, response and management.  This program provides an excellent training opportunity for divers and continuing education for leadership-level divers and instructors.

Fee:  $50.00 per student - which includes training aids and text

Technical Nitrox

This course is intended to train divers to carry out dives between 100fsw (30msw) and no more than170fsw//51msw (at the discretion of the instructor and the diver's experience) using a variety of custom blends of mixes and to provide greater understanding of achieving the dive objective with custom blend mixes for descending/ascending.  A complete knowledge of the limits of any EANx mixture, use of EANx and oxygen for decompression is extensively covered.

Emphasis is placed on the relationship between gas blending, tracking oxygen uptake at all levels of the dive, how to plan OTU/CNS values to allow for maximum dive safety, equipment cleanliness and maintenance, and field operational procedures.

This course is a commitment to back mounted double cylinders, as well as the use of one or more additional cylinders with custom gasses in them and decompression diving.

Duration of Course:  3 days - 4 dives

Prerequisites: Minimum of l8 years of age; Must be qualified as an IANTD Deep Air Diver or equivalent;   Must be qualified as IANTD Advanced EANx Diver or equivalent; minimum of 100 logged lives, 30 deeper than 90 fsw(27 msw).  Acceptance into the program is based on equivalent experience: a log or proof of 150 dives including at least 50 dives deeper than 90fsw.  Be in good physical health (a physician signed medical approval form may be required and is highly recommended if over 40 years of age).  Current DAN insurance or equivalent is highly recommended.

At the instructor's discretion, certain previous dives from prior technical programs may be credits to this course.  At least two dives must be done between 100 fsw(30msw) to 130fsw(39msw).

TRIMIX COURSE

This program is dedicated to those individuals already involved in deeper diving activities. The IANTD Trimix course is not designed to be used as an enticement to divers who are content to remain within normal recreational or Nitrox diving limits. Trimix affords a safer method of deep water exploration for divers who either must dive deep or want to perform with a clear head in intermediate depths. This program establishes the need to be self-sufficient/reliant.  This diver will be qualified to dive Trimix to depths of 260 fsw.

Prerequisites: l. Certified as an IANTD Technical Diver or Technical Cave Diver or Technical Wreck Diver or Normoxic Trimix Diver or equivalent. 2. Must provide proof of a minimum of 200 logged. divers, of which at least 75 were in depths between 140 fsw and 200 fsw.  Must be a minimum of 18 years of age, or if being accepted in the course based on equivalent experience. 3. Must provide proof of minimum of 250 logged dives, of which at least 7 were deeper than 100 fsw, and at least 25 between depths of 140 fsw and 170 fsw.  Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
